R&R

Sorry I've been MIA, My Stinky Boy is home! only for just a few short more days, so I'm sure you can understand why I haven't been on much. This is just a quick post because he is sleeping, but I will write all about Mexico, and our time together after he goes back... Having him home is amazing! waking up next to him, holding his hand, getting smooches whenever I want, being able to tell him something the second it pops into my mind instead of having to wait DAYS till he calls then forgetting everything that I wanted to tell him, these are only a few of the MILLION great things I have when I have him here with me. This week will likely be a really hard one for me, when I say goodbye again, but I wouldn't trade these past two weeks for anything! If you've never been away from your husband for a long period of time, trust me when I say, don't take the little stuff for granted! The feel of his hand in mine is one of the most intimate things in the world, if you've had almost no physical touch in months. My Love Languages according to the book "The 5 Love Languages" by Gary Chapman are Physical touch (scoring 12/12) and Quality Time (7/12), (teasing each other and pretend fighting weren't options) so you can see how being an army wife is very difficult in meeting my needs for my love languages. So, these past 2 weeks have really helped me. If the next few months go as quickly as the past 2 weeks we will be at homecoming in no time!!! I can't wait to be able to have him home without the next time he leaves looming over us, I mean I am for sure realistic, I know there will be other deployments, but it will be nice not having a date to it, not having our next "last kiss" already planned. It's hard to get in a routine, or really allow yourself to settle back into each others arms, when the next time he leaves is right there over your head. It will be nice to be in the dark about that for at least a month or two when he gets back. I am so thankful for my 2 weeks with my love, and wouldn't trade them in for anything. Just hearing the sound of him breathing next to me is amazing, he truly is my hero, in so many ways.

You are reading the 5 Love Languages? Totally just started that as our churches ladies bible study. I scored 8/12 for Acknowledgment, 7/12 in Physical Touch, and 7/12 in Quality Time. Brian scored 8/12 for acknowledgment, 8/12 in Acts of Service, and 7/12 in Quality Time.
