This memorial day weekend, when you're out camping, having your BBQ, or just enjoying the start of summer, don't forget what it's really about. don't forget about the men and women that laid their life down for this country. They are true heros. It doesn't matter your political beliefs, the truth is that these men and women stepped up and agreed to make the ultimate sacrifice if necessary. Our service men and women wake up every morning to go fight for our freedoms, they are away from their families and loved ones, they don't have the comforts of home, they go days without sleeping. They sacrifice a lot for our country on a good day. Pray for the safety of our men and women in uniform, not just on memorial day but always. and take time to remember those who won't be coming home, pray for their families and their loved ones, that they will know peace, and know just how much their sacrifice means to all of us.
I love this post and think that to many people take Memorial Day and Veterans day too lightly-- like it's "just" a holiday.Too often we forget WHY there is a holiday in place! Thanks for sharing :)
